The annual Salute to Julia Child dinner has become so popular that this year it will take place over two days: , and . At both days, the Golden Finch's kitchen will become her kitchen and feature a menu of French specialties and wines. The dinner is a get-together of people who believe with Julia Child that, "We should enjoy food and have fun. It is one of the simplest and nicest pleasures in life."

The Menu-French food and Wine Pairing
■ Prelude: Visit with fellow diners and enjoy Brie baked in brioche with fresh berries, served with French Champagne.
■ The First course: Vichyssoise (potatoes, leeks, and zucchini for a sparkle)
■ Entrée: Duo of spicy Chicken Provencal and classic Boeuf Borguignon, with a warm Haricots Verts salad, served with French wine.
■ Finale: locally grown peach (poires) crepe, with a French dessert wine.
