Harman’s North Fork Cottages in Cabins—just 13 miles from Seneca Rocks—is truly a special place.
Harman’s North Fork Cottages in Cabins—just 13 miles from Seneca Rocks—is truly a special place, evident by the large number of repeat visitors. These luxury log cabins are serenely situated on the banks of the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River, a private trophy trout stream. World renown as a fly fishing destination, it is a lovely spot to host a retreat, reunion, or wedding. In fact, it is routinely featured on Curtis Fleming’s popular television show "Fly Rod Chronicles."
The accommodations are pitch perfect—no roughing it here. We stayed in the newest addition of the 20 cabins—the Fly Rod Chronicles Cabin—tucked into the hillside in Hopeville Canyon, one of the most peaceful spots in West Virginia. Its 2,200 square feet includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps eight. All cabins include a fireplace, Jacuzzi or private outdoor hot tub, WiFi, charcoal grill, satellite television with DVD, air conditioning, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes, and utensils.
Harman’s is conveniently located near some of the state’s finest attractions: Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, Seneca Rocks, Smoke Hole Caverns, Seneca Caverns, Spruce Knob, and Canaan Valley. You can treat it as a great base for all types of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, rock climbing, horseback riding, fishing, and hunting, or as a destination in its own right.
Visit the Harman's North Fork Cottages website for more information and ask about their special girlfriend rock climbing rates.
