Book Review: All in Good Time

WEB EXCLUSIVE

For many families, the issues facing them every day are a series of choices—can we afford this brand? When should we plan our next vacation? Is there really enough time in a day?

All in Good Time: When to Save, Stock Up, and Schedule Everything for Your Home is a collaborative effort between Mandi Ehman, a West Virginia resident, mother of four, and founder of life.yourway.net, and Tara Kuczykowski, founder of dealseekingmom.com. The two mothers have researched enough for us all to come up with this all-encompassing guide to running a household—touching on everything from when to buy tomatoes to when to remodel your home.

The book, published by The Berkley Publishing Group and Penguin Publishing, acts as a reference for homeowners, parents, and families looking to improve household efficiency. Whether it’s decluttering a home, washing produce, or crafting homemade cleaning supplies, this book is divided into sections devoted to creating safer, happier homes.

Co-author Ehman and her husband, Sean, live with their four daughters in Capon Bridge in Hampshire County, West Virginia. Mandi homeschools her daughters and blogs regularly on her site, life.yourway.net, which offers resources in organizing, green living, decorating, finance, food, and more. All in Good Time is a compilation of each author’s experiences and knowledge as mothers, homemakers, and people.

As the book jacket proclaims: “It’s time to get your house—and your schedule—in order.”
