Fall into Fashion
We have the savvy shopper’s guide to looking cool while staying warm.
While the beauty of fall is certainly palpable, the changing seasons bring about an unavoidable crisis. What is this crisis, you ask? Everywhere women are waking up to a closet bursting with clothes, but have seemingly nothing to wear. If you, like myself, are a victim of this crisis, have no fear. With years of experience as a frugal fashionista, I’m here to pass along the secret to revamping your wardrobe for the changing seasons without breaking the bank: accessories. Not only are accessories the key to sprucing up your closet, but they also make adapting your favorite summertime fashions to the steadily falling temperatures an incredibly easy and affordable feat. Hats, scarves, vests, jackets, tights, and knee-high socks are fall wardrobe staples that can turn any lightweight outfit into a chic, cold-weather ensemble. Trends this year include anorak jackets, faux fur, printed tights, and a lot of leather. As for jewelry, the possibilities are endless. Do your prefer a more classic look? Try incorporating pops of color with a modest statement necklace or embrace the word jewelry trend. Are you feeling daring? Try an embellished statement necklace with your favorite graphic tee, a Gatsby-inspired headpiece, or a pair of extravagant chandelier earrings.
