How to look like a million bucks without spending it.
Don’t let your budget keep you from looking fashionable. Stretching your wardrobe so you can wear a fresh and fashion-forward outfit every day can be easy and affordable. Adding inexpensive accessories to your outfit is one of the most effective ways to create an updated look. Whether you’re thrifting or shopping at an affordable chain, below are a few accessories that can make the cheap look chic.
Jewelry is one of the simplest and most affordable ways to update your outfit. I personally love statement necklaces and bold earrings. Both of these really allow you to show off your personal style and can make your outfit look more expensive without breaking the bank.
QUICK DIY IDEA: Cut and glue lace on the edge of a necklace chain or ribbon to create your own statement necklace.
Belts can be used for more than just keeping your pants up. Add a belt on top of your shirt to give your shirt a different fit or to add decoration. Or tuck in your shirt to show off a cute yet functional belt.
QUICK DIY IDEA: Replace the sash/belt that came with a garment with a new belt for a fresh look.
Shoes play a huge role in how your outfit looks. Switching from flip-flops to heels can instantly dress up an outfit.
QUICK DIY IDEA: Glue old earrings or bows onto shoe clips to update or dress up your shoes.
Scarves aren’t just for snowy weather. They can be used to give your outfit a pop of color or add a unique print to your outfit. Whether you are dressing up or dressing down scarves can complete your look.
QUICK DIY IDEA: Take a regular scarf and tie the ends together to create an infinity scarf.
Purses can be expensive. Instead of buying one really expensive purse you could buy a few inexpensive ones and switch them out regularly. This will keep your look fresh and also help any one purse from wearing out too quickly.
QUICK DIY IDEA: Tie a silk scarf around the handle of your purse to give it a new look.
