The Five Minute Dress

One of the workhorses of the wardrobe is the shift dress. This universally flattering dress comes in every color of the rainbow and just about any print you can imagine. If you're looking for something to add to your wardrobe, a shift is my first suggestion. While adding some dresses to Pinterest this week, I came across this fabulous Jessica Simpson shift from Nordstrom and couldn't help dressing it up. The best part? You can be ready for work in this dress in under five minutes.

Camel and black is a chic look you can't go wrong with. If you put on this dress and grab an accessory from each category, you can be ready to go out the door in under five minutes and look like you spent an hour getting ready. Hint: Since this dress has a boat neck, make sure your necklace hits above or below the neckline to get maximum effect.

Camel and brown are like peanut butter and jelly, they just go together. Again, just grab something from each category and you have outfit perfection.

Less is more when it comes to prints. Use one print at a time and add other accessories in a coordinating color. If you pick a leopard print scarf, wear black shoes and a black cuff. If you choose to wear plaid flats, grab a red belt and necklace to match.

You can also save yourself time in the mornings by grouping your clothes and accessories by color. All of my black shoes are together, all of my blue shirts, etc., are all grouped together. When you do grab a shift, you can make a quick decision on how to accessorize, grab it, and be on your way.
