New Year's Resolutions
It’s a New Year, and everyone has his or her own type of resolution. The top 3 this year are: lose weight, get fit, quit smoking. Instead of the same ol' traditional resolution, I decided to go a little out of the box this year and create a fun unique list of resolutions! I thought I’d share some of them here.
Live a little more this year through your wardrobe! Brighten it up with some of these exuberant colors above. Sometimes I can stay so “between-the-lines” when it comes to brightening up my every day outfits. I always seem to find myself in blacks and grays…boring! So I’m challenging myself to start with pops of color. The shoes above from Jessicasimpson.com would be a great start for this challenge.
Create a masterpiece! When I saw this photo from decor8blog.com it inspired me to be different. We were made to create. Paint a picture, make a wall collage, create a blog, there are so many things to be created in your life. So this year, try not to settle for average.
Read more. Indulge in a couple great books this year. I absolutely love reading, it’s my time to unwind and escape the world for a little while. I’m promising myself to make time to read more. Do the same!
As much as some people may hate it, change is a good thing. To keep the same look and the same schedule all the time can become so mundane. Who wants to live a mundane, boring life? Not me! It can be so easy to get caught up in the same routine from day-to-day. Look for ways to change up your life. The living room above stood out to me so much that I am going to replicate this look in my home-office. This look is a little different than what I would normally go for, but I need change! Continue to change—it’s healthy!
We are the only ones who can make the choice to go from where we are to where we want to be. So take that jump into whatever it is you’ve been longing to do! Continue to take risks and always be inspired.
What are your New Year's resolutions?
