Bombastic and somewhat eclectic, Big Gigantic goes beyond the standard electronic mold. Beats and buzzes echo throughout their energized sets, and at times, the sounds diverge and deviate into the familiar tones of jazz and jam band. From Boulder, Colorado, the duo of Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken have traveled across the country for their winter 2013 tour, and on Sunday, February 24, 2013, they will take the stage of Morgantown’s Metropolitan Theatre for an electric college town showcase.

West Virginia University student and U92 DJ Valerie Slone says she is amped for the event. “Their music is so wonderful and boisterous just listening to it at home,” she says. “I can’t even imagine what they sound like live in a room full of excited people.”

The band has performed at countless music festivals over the years, including Bonnaroo, Ultra Music Festival, All Good Music Festival, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza.

The electronic music producer Hayden Kramer, also known as HeRobust, will open for Big Gigantic at the Metropolitan Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m.
