Hello Kimono!

Silky fabrics, wide sleeves and pretty patterns have made the kimono this season's most popular trend. Kimonos originated from Japanese culture, so naturally we imagine floral prints when we think of them. But designers have literally branched out into a variety of styles to suit everyone’s taste. Aztec, geometric, bohemian, and animal prints have all been spotted on kimonos in stores this year. The popularity of the kimono has risen largely because there are so many options for wearing them. They're perfect for just about any event or special occasion that you may be attending this summer.

How to wear it:

The idea of layering is important when sporting a kimono. The kimono is meant to be loose, so make sure everything that you wear with it is fitted to your proportions. Fringed tanks, bandeau tops and lace shirts can all be worn with a kimono. Pair it with high waisted shorts, skirts, jeans, or even dresses. You can also wear one at the beach or pool as a cover-up over your favorite swimsuit.
