Heritage Weekend Experience – August 9–11, 2019
Editor Nikki Bowman says every West Virginian must experience Heritage Farms. Now here’s your chance to join the editors of WV Living at Heritage Farms in Huntington for an exclusive opportunity to step back in time and experience West Virginia’s only Smithsonian Affiliate in a unique way.
Friday, August 9
Guests arrive for dinner for an old-fashioned, family-style cookout with live music and welcome from the Perry family. After dinner, get settled into your luxury cabin accommodations and relax in beautiful surroundings.
Saturday, August 10
Enjoy an exclusive tour of the farm museums and facilities. Then you’ll have your choice of an exclusive, hands-on opportunity to learn a new craft—basket weaving, blacksmithing, feltmaking, breadmaking, printmaking, or woodturning—taught by Heritage Farms artisans. And you even get to keep your creation! We’ll also tour historical Huntington landmarks, shop local, and dine at Bahnhof WVrsthaus & Biergarten.
Sunday, August 11
Start the day by getting your hands dirty as we join the Heritage Farms team as they feed the animals of the farm.
